New signing Tommy Setford has been allocated the number 36 shirt at Arsenal.

36 is the lowest academy number and the closest to the first-team squad.

Setford, who signed from Ajax, will technically be part of the U21 squad but is set for frequent involvement in first-team training.

The 18-year-old has immediately linked up with the first-team squad for their pre-season tour of the USA.

He is one of four young goalkeepers on the trip along with Karl Hein (who is in the first-team squad), Lucas Nygaard and Alexei Rojas.
