West Ham United fans will be demanding improvement from their team when the new Premier League season kicks off in August.
Those inside the London Stadium have been used to their team playing sleep-walking football and keeping those paying for their tickets glued to their seats.
What has annoyed everyone the most is that West Ham have got some high-quality attacking players and many with flair in their boots.
Yet, they haven’t been able to express it as freely as they would have liked because of the negative style of play.
But now the West Ham faithful are hoping that will change with Julen Lopetegui in the building in East London.
In order to improve watching the team on the eye, West Ham have secured the transfer of Max Kilman from Wolves.
But the ball-playing centre-back is going to need the midfield in front of him to provide the protection and vibrancy needed.
Perhaps a certain former Premier League winner would provide that after his outstanding Euro 2024 campaign.
Sources have told HITC that N’Golo Kante has been offered to West Ham, but Frank Leboeuf wants him at Chelsea, as he told ESPN.
MORE WEST HAM UNITED STORIES
The former World Cup winner made it clear ‘we don’t want to see him at West Ham’, as he urged Chelsea to ‘wake up’ and re-sign Kante.
The 33-year-old is currently plying his trade in Saudi Arabia for Al-Ittihad and reminded the world of what he is about following his performances at the Euros.
N’Golo Kante told he can’t join West Ham United
“Yeah, (I want Kante back at Chelsea),” admitted Leboeuf. “I really hope it’s going to be a wake-up call for the Chelsea board to say ‘okay, for £20 million, we can get Kante back’. And they will need it.
“We don’t know what’s going to happen to Enzo Fernandez. I don’t want to go into that. When I saw the article (about West Ham wanting Kante). I thought ‘why doesn’t Chelsea call him back’. The guy is from Chelsea. We don’t want to see him at West Ham, with all due respect.
“If West Ham can get him, then that’s a very good catch because that guy has proven during the Euros that he was still at the top. Would it be good for Kante? As the guys say, maybe not. Definitely good for West Ham and very good for Chelsea. Wake up, guys!”

Can N’Golo Kante cope in the Premier League?
Everyone knows what Kante can do on his day, he produced several exceptional performances at the Euros.
But there was a reason why he left the Premier League in 2023. Injuries and struggling to keep up with the pace of England’s top flight caught up with him.

Yes, the title-winner at Leicester showed in Germany that he can still perform at a high level.
But that was across the summer in tournament football, with domestic football being a different beast altogether.
All in all, it’s going to be interesting to see what Lopetegui does ahead of the new campaign, with Noussair Mazrouai being offered to West Ham, as sources told HITC.
