West Ham want to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United

Mon 22 July 2024 19:40, UK
West Ham United are considering a transfer push for Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Sports Germany journalist reported via X (22 July) that the Hammers are considering a move for Wan-Bissaka should they miss out on Noussair Mazraoui of Bayern Munich.
Manchester United are considering replacing Wan-Bissaka with Mazraoui.
As a result, they have lowered their demands for the 26-year-old and would accept a bid of £10million.
West Ham United to decide on Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Noussair Mazraoui
This is a very interesting case of transfer dominoes.
If the Hammers were to sign Wan-Bissaka, it would fund United’s move for Mazraoui, another one of the club’s targets.
However, they could instead push to sign Mazraoui ahead of United, which could prove difficult.
In some ways, the Hammers have nothing to lose. If they miss out on Mazraoui to United, it shouldn’t be too difficult to convince the club to sell them Wan-Bissaka.
It appears as though Mazraoui is the top choice for both clubs, and Wan-Bissaka is likely to end up at either the London Stadium or remain at Old Trafford, depending on who misses out on Mazraoui.
Either way, Julen Lopetegui would be benefiting. Either player would be a much-needed addition to the squad and a big upgrade at right-back.

Sorting out the club’s defensive issues will be a big priority for Lopetegui, and both Wan-Bissaka and Mazraoui could help him do that.
In other West Ham news, the club are playing a waiting game to land a new signing with a fee already agreed.
