West Ham’s hunt for a striker takes a massive twist as their number one target grows frustrated.

For years now, West Ham have held strong interest in signing Youssef En-Nesyri. The Moroccan has unfortunately rejected a move to the London Stadium on two separate occasions, but with his former manager Julen Lopetegui at the club there is hope that he will be convinced this time around.

In fact, it seems like the forward is keen on a move as Graeme Bailey reports he is annoyed by the lack of movement on the Hammer’s behalf. “I would not rule out Broja to be honest, same with Calvert-Lewin and En-Nesyri, although he is getting annoyed about lack of progress and could go elsewhere,” he told Hammers News.

The report also claims that he has rejected a move to Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe. Mourinho admired the No.9 when he was manager of Roma but has failed to convince him to move to Turkey.

Disappointingly, our Irons could still lose our on him if they don’t act with haste as Saudi Arabian side Al-Qadsiah are close to agreeing personal terms with the player.

As frustrating as it is, the club clearly have other targets and it’s not the end of the world if one or two of them go elsewhere. It will become more of an issue if they haven’t signed a striker in the next few weeks but, for now, it’s just a small bump in the road.
