Kevin Thelwell is looking to bring more players to Everton
Wed 31 July 2024 17:40, UK
Everton target Roman Sosa is desperate for a transfer to the Premier League with the Toffees’ Director of Football Kevin Thelwell on high alert, according to TeamTalk.
The website reported on Wednesday (31 July) that Sosa could be on Thelwell’s list of potential targets, but the Goodison Park outfit will have to battle Nottingham Forest for his signature.
The 24-year-old himself is said to be “desperate” for a move to England’s top division with several clubs interested in his services.
Everton are desperate to secure a decent winger
Everton need a good winger badly, and they’re eyeing Sosa who could be a great addition to the squad. The Toffees aren’t alone, though; Chelsea, Wolves and Nottingham Forest are also interested.
Wolves are reportedly in talks for a £12million deal for the 24-year-old Paraguay star . However, the 24-year-old’s agent has also confirmed that Everton and Chelsea have made contact about his availability.
Sean Dyche has made finding a new winger a top priority. The Toffees missed out on Jaden Philogene this summer and are exploring other options. Wilfried Gnonto is on their radar, but Leeds’ £25million asking price is steep.

On the other hand, Sosa, with 17 goals and 13 assists in 56 games, could be the perfect fit. He can play on either wing or as a centre-forward, offering the versatility Dyche needs.
However, competition is fierce, with Nottingham Forest holding talks and Chelsea keeping tabs. Thelwell should, therefore, act fast if he wants to secure Sosa’s services.
