Cole Palmer broke two records with his brilliant goal against Spain in Euro 2024 final for England.

Palmer came off the bench to give England a huge goal to level the scores against Spain on Sunday night, though it might have meant little in the end after Mikel Oyarzabal netted a late strike to restore La Roja's lead.

Having come on for Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo, Palmer scored just 142 seconds after coming on, England's fastest European Championship goal from a substitute.

Not only that but at 22 years and 69 days, Palmer is the youngest substitute to score in a EURO final.

It came from an electric run from Bukayo Saka, who fed Jude Bellingham into the box before laying off Palmer.

The Chelsea star did not disappoint, executing a tremendous strike along the ground from around 20 yards out that took a tiny knick before flying past Unai Simon.

It means England's lengthy wait for a trophy will stretch into its 60th year with the next chance at silverware coming at the World Cup in 2026.

For England, this was the first time they had played a final in a major competition in another country, having won the World Cup in 1966 and lost Euro 2020 on home territory.
