West Ham United are intensifying their efforts to sign Brazilian defender Fabricio Bruno from Flamengo according to Rubro News. The transfer deal for the non-nonsense central defender was believed to be dead but if there is one thing we’ve learnt in this window, it’s that seemingly finished negotiations can be revived.
The Hammers have already had a bid of €13.5 million accepted by the Brazilian club, but the player himself has rejected the offer. Undeterred, West Ham are preparing to increase their bid, including a significant salary package, in hopes of securing Bruno’s signature.
The 28-year-old has impressed in Brazil and is seen as a valuable addition to strengthen West Ham’s defensive line. However, the club faces competition from Rennes, who have also shown interest in the defender.

Although the Irons will need to act swiftly to fend off interest from the French club and secure Bruno’s services before the transfer window closes.
