Malcolm Ebiowei has now got in touch with David Ozoh after Crystal Palace loaned the 19-year-old to Derby.

The teenager will spend the entire 2024/25 campaign on loan at Pride Park, after enjoying a breakthrough season at Selhurst Park last term.

So, what did Malcolm Ebiowei send to David Ozoh? Let’s take a look…

What Malcolm Ebiowei said to David Ozoh

The 20-year-old sent a message to the Valencia-born midfielder on Instagram after hearing about his move from Crystal Palace to Derby.

Ebiowei holds the Rams close to his heart and will be able to tell Ozoh all about life at Pride Park, having made 16 appearances for Derby before Dougie Freedman snapped him up on a free transfer.

Other young talents at Selhurst Park also responded to the news, with Owen Goodman writing “massive” along with another heart emoji, while Luke Plange, Tayo Adaramola and Jadan Raymond congratulated the England U18 international as well.

Crystal Palace prospect can dominate the Championship

In our view, Ozoh even has what it takes to make the Championship Team of the Year next season.

We believe the youngster would not have been considered for a loan this summer, but for the presence of Cheick Doucoure, Adam Wharton and Jefferson Lerma in midfield, quality footballers who were blocking Ozoh’s path to regular starts.

The 19-year-old’s efforts off the bench last season were highly impressive, as he showed real composure in possession, excellent physicality in duels and plenty of passion.

Jeffrey Schlupp even paid tribute to Ozoh’s performance in the 2-2 draw against Manchester City back in December during an interview in April, such was the memorable nature of his display.

As long as Derby give the precocious talent plenty of game time, and he avoid any major injuries, we expect him to be a Championship superstar by this time next year.
