Euro 2024 is officially over and now attention will soon return to club football and the start of the Premier League season.

Liverpool are currently in pre-season mode as they work with new head coach Arne Slot. The 45-year-old is taking charge of training at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby ahead of his first season in the Anfield dugout.

Off the pitch, rumours are continuing to swirl about the players which Liverpool could sign during the summer transfer window. The Reds are yet to add any new faces to their squad and have until the deadline on September 2 to complete any deals.

Liverpool have been handed a potential boost in their reported pursuit of Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi. Reports in recent weeks have seen the Reds linked with a move for the winger this summer.

According to Sky Germany journalist Patrick Berger, Juventus have also joined the race to sign Adeyemi. However, the report states that the Serie A club, while holding an interest, are not close to an agreement despite opening initial talks.

This, the report claims, is because Juventus need to sell members of their existing squad before they are able to make any new signings. There is also the possibility that Adeyemi remains at Dortmund, with a new contract offer yet to be made.

It was recently reported that Dortmund would be willing to accept an offer of over €30 million (£26 million) for Adeyemi this summer.

Elsewhere, Liverpool will seemingly face fierce competition for the signing of Nico Williams this summer. The Reds have been heavily linked with a move for the Athletic Bilbao and Spain international in recent weeks.

A report from Fabrizio Romano has claimed, though, that Williams is the priority target for Barcelona this summer. It has been stated that the La Liga giants are already in talks of a deal for Williams, with negotiations set to ramp up following the conclusion of Euro 2024.
