Bulut coy on Stansfield links
Cardiff boss Erol Bulut played his cards close to his chest when quizzed on transfer links with Fulham striker Jay Stansfield on Wednesday.
The Bluebirds have been credited with "tentative interest" in the former Birmingham City loanee, according to the BBC. Stansfiled thrived on loan at St Andrew's last season and is very much a wanted man this summer, with the Blues, Leeds United and Hull City all keeping tabs on him. Indeed the Midlands-based outfit want to re-sign him permanently, despite being relegated to League One.
Bulut, though, remained coy when the forward's name was put to him via a Zoom press conference in Austria.
"I read many things," he said. "I can tell you also 10 other names. Then we can discuss about 10-15 players.
"I read many things from before. Even sometimes I am reading in the press stuff with Kieffer Moore. Maybe some people don’t know he has already left.
"So let’s see what we can do and what is the best for Cardiff City and our squad. Everything is about the finance and we have to take care of that side. We will not waste money for nothing we will try to make the best for Cardiff City."

Bulut 'surprised' by Kpakio
Meanwhile the boss says he has been "surprised" by the development of teenager Ronan Kpakio since last season.
Kpakio has featured a couple of times in pre-season so far, notably catching the eye against Penybont.
Bulut says he's been keeping tabs on his progress but has been taken aback by his step up over the past few months.
"I watched him twice last season, this pre-season we had him in the squad," the manager said.
"He surprised me how quick he has progressed and I hope he continues like that. Against Kortrijk he has a really good game, also against Hamburg he played a tough opponent. He had good chance and against Mamelodi he was quite good. He is still only 17 I think this will be a really good one if he continues that way."

Colwill happy to get minutes
Joel Colwill says it was good to get 90 minutes in his legs during the 1-1 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday.
Colwill, who started the game at right-back, scored to give the Bluebirds the lead before their South African opponents pegged them back late on.
Still, it was another beneficial run-out for Erol Bulut's men in Austria.
"It was tough," Colwill said. "They were quite a physical side, and obviously the heat plays a massive part as well. It was a good run out, and it was good to get fitness in against a good side. It was nice to get 90 minutes, my first 90 of the pre-season, so I'm happy.
"It's hard, obviously, because these games are used to get match fitness, when you're playing against a team who are just running everywhere and you've got to cover. But, I think it's perfect for us.
"When we go to the Championship, where maybe teams are not as physical and not as fit, then it's just going to be easier for us."
On his new defensive role, he added: "It's difficult; obviously a new challenge, but it's good to be versatile and it's good to be able to adapt to different positions so that you can play wherever the manager needs you. I'm learning, and I'm getting better.
"Cian (Ashford) got the ball, and I know he sometimes likes to come inside, so I made the run down to the corner. But he played it this time, and I just I looked up and thought: 'Oh, I can have a go here', and I did!
"We've done a lot of shooting after training, so I have been working on my shooting. It came off quite well, I caught it clean, so I'm happy.
"It is quite mad really. We've been together since we were under-nines, so we know each other quite well. I know what he's good at, I know how to cover him, he knows how to cover me. It was good to play with each other on the right side.
"Obviously, my goal is to play for Cardiff. That's what I've always wanted to do, and that's been my goal since I was young. So if I can live that out, It'll be amazing."
