Unai Emery is working on a plan to play Jhon Duran and Ollie Watkins together at Aston Villa, Dan Bardell has told Villa News.
The Colombia international signed a new contract with the Villans until 2030 after an electric start to the campaign after a turbulent summer.
Despite scoring six goals already, Emery has opted to start the Englishman in every Premier League game, limiting the 20-year-old to just substitute appearances.
Bardell has exclusively revealed to Villa News that the Spaniard is working on a plan to utilise both strikers in his starting XI moving forward.
He said: “I think it puts the transfer stuff to bed, he wouldn’t have signed a new contract without certain guarantees.
“There will be a playing pathway in place and I believe Emery is working on a plan to incorporate both Duran and Watkins, behind the scenes.“

The Villans have had a positive start to the campaign, losing just one game against Arsenal which could have been so different if Watkins had a better day.
These sorts of showings from the England international have only aided his striker counterpart’s rise to be a Villa Park fan favourite.
After brilliant goals against Bayern Munich and Everton, the former Chicago Fire ace has been awarded a new contract and won’t accept being a constant substitute for much longer.
With that being said, Emery is now working to find a way to feature both striking stars in the same starting XI as the season moves on.
If the pair can complement each other, Villa could prove to be a deadly force in the Premier League as they chase another top-four finish.
