It was always going to be a tough season for Leicester City. A new league, a new manager, new players coming in and the threat of a points penalty for breaching spending rules were all major issues for the club.

The Foxes were handed a huge boost when the legal battle over that potential Premier League punishment went their way, but issues remain. Avoiding relegation is still the priority for Steve Cooper and Co.

The good news for Leicester is that they went into the latest international break with a first win of the season under their belts, their 1-0 victory over Bournemouth giving them a brilliant lift. It means they are 15th on six points from seven games, arguably much better than many pundits - and supporters - would have been expecting, even at this early stage in the new season.

But the naysayers are still predicting a return to the Championship come May, while the jury still seems to be out on Cooper, the former Nottingham Forest boss appointed to replace promotion manager Enzo Maresca.

Team selection and tactics are the biggest criticisms of the new man, despite Cooper managing to keep the Foxes clear of the drop zone so far. But City’s summer dealing in the transfer market left plenty to be desired, as far as fans are concerned, even if that was not necessarily Cooper’s fault.

We have commissioned a poll to assess City’s progress so far under Cooper, and we would like to hear your views.

What are the biggest problems at Seagrave, and how do the club go about fixing them? Of City’s summer recruits, who have impressed and who have so far been found wanting? Have your expectations changed in light of City’s start to the season and where do you now expect them to finish?

And how is Cooper honestly doing? His past Forest association was always going to make this a tough assignment, so is he starting to win over the Foxes faithful?

This is just a sample of the questions, so pile in and have your say on Leicester and where they go from here. We will collate your answers and report back with the conclusions sometime before they resume their 2024/25 campaign at Southampton a week on Saturday (October 19, 3pm kick-off).
