Nottingham Forest are going in search of more new players this summer with a winger and a striker on the shortlist before the season starts.

Forest have scoured the world looking for fresh new talent to add to the five new players that have already been added.

South America has been a hotbed for Forest to pluck talented players and it would appear that the Reds remain active in that particular continent.

Gustavo Scarpa, Danilo, Murillo and Carlos Miguel have all signed from Brazil in recent seasons with plenty of success.

Now, South America might be set for another raid from Forest – with a talented winger now in the sights of the Premier League outfit.

Nottingham Forest negotiating deal for Ramon Sosa

The Reds are going in search of a winger and are in talks to sign Sosa from CA Talleres in the Argentinean Premier League.

According to El Grafico, the Reds are currently negotiating a transfer fee for Sosa, with personal terms unlikely to be a problem.

MORE FOREST STORIES

It would represent a huge blow for CA Talleres who have a game on the horizon against River Plate in the Copa Libertadores.

Sosa has been linked with Wolves and Chelsea this summer, with his agent confirming in May that talks had taken place over a move to Stamford Bridge.

The player was in fine form during the 2023/24 campaign, scoring seven times and registering six assists from his natural position on the left wing.

Sosa has got 14 caps for Paraguay and at 24-years-old he looks like a player with the ideal profile for a Forest signing amid their new transfer strategy.

Sosa looks ideal Forest signing

This feels like yet another signing that clearly highlights that Forest want to work more meticulously in the market this summer.

Another player who is only 24 is not to be sniffed at and he would arrive with bags of potential and definite resale value.

The player has just starred at the Copa America and he’s a player who has been looked at by a number of Premier League clubs.

The recruitment has left a lot to be desired in recent years but this summer does feel considerably different.

Sosa plays on the left wing and although he’s not actually left-footed, he would represent someone who is natural on the left.

It’s great to hear that Forest look to be moving quickly on this one and hopefully, a deal can be struck in the future.
