Manchester City picked up their latest Premier League win of the season on Saturday by beating Fulham 3-2.

After drawing their two prior league matches against Arsenal and Newcastle United, City grabbed all three points at the Etihad Stadium with their victory over the West London club.

The home side found themselves 1-0 down in the 26th minute but managed to level the score six minutes later through Mateo Kovacic.

The Croatian then put City ahead just two minutes in the second half before Jeremy Doku grabbed a third for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Even though Rodrigo Muniz scored the final goal of the game as a late consolation for Fulham following Andreas Pereira’s first-half strike to put Marco Silva’s side ahead, it was another figure from the away side that caught the attention of one pundit and former top-flight player for what he did to one of City’s big name players on the day.

Ben Foster reflects on Kyle Walker vs Adama Traore moment in Man City’s win over Fulham

While reflecting on City’s win against the Cottagers in a recent edition of The Football Fill-In, Ben Foster said this about a particular incident in the match which saw Adama Traore run his way past Kyle Walker to end up having a shot at City’s goal.

He said: “It’s the power, it’s just pure power, it’s ridiculous, isn’t it?

“You know though for a fact as well that if them two are running against each other and the second they start to make a little bit of contact with each other as well, Traore is just brushing him off, he’s knocking him off balance, he’s setting him back there, he’s sending him back a few paces, I guarantee.

“He’s just so big and strong running, it’s lovely to see.”

What did Guardiola do to Traore after the match?

Once the final whistle blew, the City boss was seen speaking to the speedy Fulham winger on the pitch, which Guardiola then joked was him thanking Traore for missing the chances he had in the game.

Specifically, the winger missed three big chances for his side during the match.

Guardiola also highlighted how stunned he was at seeing Traore sprint past Walker, who he described as being City’s fastest player.

This, therefore, makes it understandable that Foster has also shared his thoughts on what he saw between Traore and Walker.
