A fresh update has emerged about Txiki Begiristain’s future at Manchester City.
Begiristain was appointed by Manchester City in October 2012 and since then, he has been the club’s sporting director.

Ornstein confirms Begiristain will leave Man City in 2025
The veteran has been responsible for signing several of the club’s elite players who have been fundamental to their success.
Begiristain’s eye for talent is second to none in European football.
It is largely due to the 60-year-old’s talent identification that the Sky Blues have been a cut above the rest in English football.
However, The Athletic journalist David Ornstein has revealed that Txiki Begiristain is set to leave Manchester City at the end of the seaon.
In his full report for The Athletic, Ornstein revealed that Begiristain, 60 originally planned to bid farewell to City when he was 55 years old.
However, Manchester City’s director of sport was believed to be incredibly invested working at the club and alongside Pep Guardiola that he prolonged his spell.
Once turning 60 in August, Begiristain informed the club of his desire to leave at the end of the 2024/2025 campaign.
Man City have already found Txiki Begiristain successor
It has also been mentioned that Manchester City have already identified the successor to Txiki Begiristain.
The man in question, who still remains unknown is expected to start his role in early 2025.
Furthermore, Txiki Begiristain played a key role in picking the man to replace him as the club’s next sporting director.
However, Begiristain is expected to continue his role until the end of the season during a handover period.
After this campaign, Txiki Begiristain will bid adieu to Manchester City after nearly serving the club for 13 years.
