Despite not scoring, nearly everything that Chelsea were creating at the weekend was coming through one player.
Cole Palmer picked up the assist for Noni Madueke’s equaliser, however the Blues were not able to find a winner against 10 men late on.
Wayne Rooney has come out today and praised Palmer for his very strong start to the season, with him currently sitting on the most combined goals and assists for the campaign.

The draw against Forest was perhaps overshadowed by some of the antics away from the football, with bookings flying round that have seen suspensions hitting the Blues ahead of their next game.
Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella will both be absent from the trip to Liverpool, leaving Enzo Maresca some decisions to make regarding team selection.
Palmer amused keys by not brawling in Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest
While one of these melees was occurring, Palmer steered well clear, electing to take a seat on the ground nearby.
Richard Keys was left amused by this, describing his actions as ‘class’.
He said on his blog: “Chelsea/Forest was really good as well. Both teams will hear from the FA as a result of the fight and Nicolas Jackson will be on a charge of his own. How funny was it watching Cole Palmer take a front row seat as manbags were being thrown about? He’s class.”

Palmer crucial to Chelsea
Palmer was one of the Chelsea players who picked up a suspension last season for too many yellow cards, and already has three to his name at this stage.
Any involvement in a brawl on Sunday could have seen him pick up a second booking on the day, meaning he would be automatically suspended for their biggest test since the opening day against Liverpool.
Given he is comfortably Chelsea’s most important first team player right now, there will be many supporters who are actually thankful he didn’t get involved in any meaningless battles, and protected himself from an unnecessary suspension.
