Jack Grealish and Sasha Attwood have shared the exciting news that they have welcomed their first child together. The pair, who have been in a relationship since their school days, revealed the heartwarming news on Instagram in which they introduced their little girl to the world - and also shared her adorable name in the process.

“27/09/24. Mila Rose Grealish. The most special moment of my life,” wrote 28 year old Sasha alongside a black and white snap or Mila holding onto Jack’s finger. Meanwhile, Jack shared the same photo on his own Instagram as fans and famous faces flocked to the comments section to gush over the announcement.

According to The Bump, Mila has several meanings. In Spanish, it comes from the world ‘milagros’ which translates to ‘miracles’. In Slavic, it comes from the word ‘milu’ which means ‘gracious’.

In England and Wales, Mila has proved to be a popular name for girls in recent years. In 2022, the Office For National Statistics states that it was the 45th most popular girls’ name. Meanwhile, the name Rose is of Latin origin and refers to the flower.

After introducing Mila Rose to the world, doting parents Jack and Sasha were inundated with messages of support. “Congratulations to you both,” wrote Danielle Lloyd. “Huge congratulations Angel,” added Strictly Come Dancing star Tasha Ghouri.

“Perfection. Love you so much already, Mila Rose. Auntie Megs can't wait to buy you frilly socks and tutus,” commented Megan Pickford. Also among those to share their support were Zara McDermott and Made in Chelsea's Rosie Fortescue.

Manchester City footballer Jack and influencer Sasha are childhood sweethearts and have been together since they were teenagers, when they attended the same school. The couple revealed in July that they were expecting their first child with a sweet post on social media.

In a wholesome photo shared on Instagram, Sasha posted a picture of herself and Jack cradling her blossoming baby bump. Captioning the photo, she wrote: “Half of me, half of you - beyond blessed”. Jack shared the same picture to his Instagram page, alongside the caption: “Life's biggest blessing”.

The couple have largely kept their relationship away from the public eye, though Sasha has previously opened up about how she received death threats for dating the footballer after he received attention following his performance at the Euros 2020 championship.

“I keep things private and off my open social media accounts because people are mean. And this whole thing since it's come out has just shown me that people are just so mean. Genuinely, I was receiving 200 death threats a day,” she said.
