All eyes were on Manchester United and Erik ten Hag at Villa Park on Sunday. Co-chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe, chief executive Omar Berrada, sporting director Dan Ashworth, technical director Jason Wilcox and Sir Dave Brailsford were all in attendance to watch the 0-0 draw.
For many, United were expected to lose to Aston Villa. However, that was far from the reality and Ten Hag's men were unfortunate not to win. With the international break placing United's chaotic season on hold, the question now is whether the board will move the Dutchman on.
MEN Sport understands that the club are lining up former Bayern Munich and Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel as a possible replacement if Ten Hag is let go. Tuchel was one of the names of interest in the summer during the internal review and remains out of work after leaving Bayern.

On Tuesday, the United hierarchy will hold a meeting in London and the subject of the man in the dug-out is expected to be on the agenda. Ten Hag is then expected to hold discussions with the club in the coming days.
If Tuchel is the man to come in at Old Trafford and take charge of the game against Brentford in the Premier League, there could be a number of tactical and selection tweaks made by the German.
So, with that in mind, we take a look at the winners and losers within the United squad if Tuchel is appointed.
Noussair Mazraoui - Winner
As United fans will be aware, United signed two players from Bayern who had worked with Tuchel last season. Mazraoui signed from Ajax and became a regular in the German's defence.
When he moved to the Premier League in the summer, the Morocco international was keen to point out the presence of Ten Hag being an influential factor in his decision. Mazraoui started 15 times under Tuchel at Bayern with Joshua Kimmich and Alphonso Davies ahead of him.
Now, there's an argument that he's one of the first names on the team sheet at United. Alongside Diogo Dalot, he has impressed this season and Tuchel will already know what to expect from him.
Matthijs de Ligt - Loser
De Ligt's case with Tuchel is quite different. After being a prominent face in Tuchel's defence in the 2022/23 season, the arrival of Kim Min-jae meant he fell down the pecking order.
In January, Sport BILD reported that the relationship between the pair was tense and it was widely understood in Germany that Tuchel was not a fan of the centre-back. To turn this on its head, previous interactions shouldn't get in the way at United.
Ineos won't appoint a head coach who will refuse to play a signing that cost the club nearly £60million. However, there is work to do to repair the relationship.
Mason Mount - Winner
One player who we know has a good relationship with Tuchel is Mason Mount. The midfielder is yet to get his United career off the ground due to injuries but the arrival of a former coach could be the added incentive.
The pair worked together at Chelsea and Mount was a key part of Tuchel's team that won the UEFA Champions League in 2021. Before his £55m move to United, there were reports of a potential reunion at Bayern, also.
Mount hit his career best form under Tuchel and their relationship was evident throughout their time together. If Tuchel does become the new manager at United, we could see a new version of Mount.
