Rotherham United’s next foray into the Bristol Street Motors Trophy sees a Newcastle United U21 side at the New York Stadium when Ruebyn Ricardo has the whistle.

In 2013 a broken wrist saw Ruebyn not able to take part in contact sport and his PE teacher handed him a whistle to referee school games. Not many months later he had taken the basic referee course.

Moving forward Ruebyn spent two seasons in reffing in the National League taking charge of his first League game in April 2023.

This is the first time Ruebyn has been in charge of a Millers game.

So far this season Ruebyn has shown fifty-four yellow cards and two red in just ten games.

Running the line on Tuesday evening we have Jonathon Bickerdike and Jacob Lehane and the Fourth Official will be Wayne Grunnill.
