Wolves fans chant for Fosun to go after Brentford defeat

Yesterday’s game was seen as a real opportunity for Wolves.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
It has been an incredibly tough start in terms of the fixtures. But Brentford were seen as a genuine chance for a first win of the season, given their injury problems.
But Wolves never looked likely to get anything from this game.
The defending was shambolic at times, and the performance was so bad that many supporters who were still firmly backing O’Neil have now turned.
O’Neil has made plenty of mistakes this season and must take responsibility.
However, this mess is not solely on him. Alan Shearer pointed to the sales of Max Kilman and Pedro Neto as potential reasons for the struggles.
Ultimately, those sales were made after Fosun gave the green light, and the duo were not replaced.
As per journalist Nathan Judah, many of the travelling Wolves fans could be heard chanting ‘We want Fosun out’ after the full-time whistle had gone at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Wolves are in a mess, and Fosun are responsible
There are plenty of reasons why Wolves find themselves in the predicament they are currently in.
O’Neil has got a lot of things wrong so far this season, despite the fact Wolves have had a very tough start in terms of the fixtures.
But Fosun must take a big portion of the blame.
The club made exciting progress in the first few years after they had acquired the club. But in recent times the owners have found wanting. They have not provided adequate support for O’Neil, and the same can be said for former manager Bruno Lage as well.
Julen Lopetegui had also suggested the goalposts had been moved on him regarding player recruitment before he walked away last year.
Many fans just get the sense that Fosun are quite content for Wolves to merely remain a Premier League outfit and many cannot stomach this lack of ambition from the top. Especially with the prices they are charging for tickets.
