Alan Shearer believes “in an ideal world” Newcastle United should stay and enhance St James’ Park’s 52,000-seater capacity.
The iconic venue’s future is the hottest topic on Tyneside following last week’s club announcement. Toon supremo Brad Miller, appointed Chief Operating Officer in the summer, appeared to test the waters with supporters about a new stadium.

“It holds so many memories, not just for me but for so many people. If it were up to me, I’d hopefully keep us there. But I’d listen to every option.”
