Liverpool boss Arne Slot will hope he can welcome back some of his players after the October international break. In what was their final fixture before the break, the Reds came away 1-0 winners at Crystal Palace, with Diogo Jota scoring the only goal.

It was their sixth win of the season as they remain top of the table and a point clear from Manchester City and Arsenal. Both teams also enjoyed wins against Fulham and Southampton respectively.

After the international break, Liverpool have a run of tough fixtures, starting with Chelsea at home, before a trip to Arsenal. In terms of injuries, Harvey Elliott has missed seven games with a fractured foot.

Here, the Echo takes a look at Liverpool's current injury list heading into the October international break.

Alisson

Injury: Hamstring.

What Slot has said: "The latest is that we don't know but what we do know is that if a player walks off like he did, that normally means that he is not in the Brazil squad and I don't expect him to be in the team in the first game we play after .

"We have to wait and see, but it is going to take a few weeks I assume for him to be back. I think it is ."

Possible return date: Unknown.

Alexis Mac Allister

Injury: Groin.

What Slot has said: "He went off because of an injury, but how bad it is is difficult for me to judge in this moment. He could have continued playing, like you saw, because it didn't happen one second before half-time, but he felt it a bit too much and he said he didn't think it was good to keep on playing because you never know if you will make it worse.

"Now, what is the exact situation, can he go to Argentina? Can he play over there? That is difficult for me to tell you now. in his groin area."

What the player has said: "I felt a slight discomfort during the game, but nothing that will stop me. Now fully focused on what’s ahead."

Possible return date: Chelsea (H) - October 20.

Federico Chiesa

Injury: Unspecified.

What Slot has said: "I’m not expecting him to be out for a very long period of time."

Possible return date: Chelsea (H) - October 20.

Harvey Elliott

Injury: Fractured foot.

What Slot has said: "Harvey is of course a big disappointment for him but also for us," Slot told reporters last month. "Okay, he didn’t play that much in the first three games but he played a lot in pre-season and showed himself really well.

"If he had stayed fit he would have had a lot of playing time in the upcoming fixtures, but now it gives a chance to someone else."

Possible return date: Chelsea (H) - October 20.
