Arne Slot has confirmed Alisson is facing yet another spell out for Liverpool.
The Brazil international only returned to action for last weekend’s victory at Wolves before following that up with a Champions League win over Bologna.
But Alisson was a late withdrawal from Saturday’s Premier League encounter with Crystal Palace, where Diogo Jota’s early first-half goal settled matters.
Third-choice goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros stepped in for the final 11 minutes at Selhurst Park due to understudy Caoimhin Kelleher being laid low by illness.
And Slot admitted that Alisson is likely to face several weeks on the sidelines with a suspect hamstring problem that forced him off at Selhurst Park.
He said: “The latest is that we don’t know
“But what we do know is that if a player walks off like he did, that normally means that he is not in the Brazil squad.
“I don’t expect him to be in the team in the first game we play after .
“We have to wait and see, but it is going to take a few weeks I assume for him to be back. I think it is .”
Liverpool’s head coach also saw Alexis Mac Allister withdrawn with a suspected groin issue as injuries begin to mount for the Premier League leaders.
“He went off because of an injury but how bad it is is difficult for me to judge in this moment,” added Slot.
“He could have continued playing, like you saw, because it didn’t happen one second before half-time, but he felt it a bit too much.
“He said he didn’t think it was good to keep on playing because you never know if you will make it worse.
“Now, what is the exact situation, can he go to Argentina? Can he play over there? That is difficult for me to tell you now.”
