West Ham are only willing to pay £20million plus add-ons for Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville, sources have told Football Insider.

Initial talks have taken place between the two clubs over a summer deal for the 22-year-old and the east London club are keen on bringing Summerville to the Premier League.

Leeds are holding out for £35m+ for the Championship player of the season for 2023-24 who ended the league season with 20 goals and nine assists.

West Ham have registered their interest but do not want to pay Leeds’ asking price at this stage.

Other Premier League clubs are also targeting the left-winger, Fulham and Newcastle have registered an interest in Summerville.

West Ham want Summerville to bolster wing options

After an impressive season in which Summerville won Leeds United’s Player’s Player of the Year and Championship Player of the Season, West Ham see the Dutchman as a good wing option.

With the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus available on the right, the club lacks options on the left following the £15 million sale of Said Benrahma to Lyon.

Summerville is best when he has the ball at his feet. Ninety-eight successful dribbles and 283 touches in the opposition box show just how dangerous he is.

The Dutch winger made 49 appearances for Leeds United last season, scoring 21 times in all competitions.

Summerville isn’t the only winger on West Ham’s radar, Football Insider revealed (July 19) Reiss Nelson has a real chance of leaving Arsenal to join the east Londoners.
