Nottingham Forest face another pre-season friendly later tonight, this time against Championship outfit Millwall.

The Reds were held to a 1-1 draw by Sunderland on Friday and at this stage of pre-season, it really is a case of minutes into the legs.

Forest started their pre-season campaign with a 3-0 win over Chesterfield and things will be stepped up a notch in the coming weeks.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men face Bournemouth on the opening day of the Premier League campaign and that fixture is edging ever closer.

Ahead of tonight, we’ve looked at how Forest might line up tonight against Neil Harris’ Lions outfit.

Nottingham Forest predicted team vs Millwall

Nottingham Forest rearguard

In goal, we think Matz Sels might get his first outing since returning to training following Euro 2024.

Matt Turner is with the team but given he’s not in the plans, it feels pointless to give him game time at this stage.

MORE FOREST STORIES

We think Espirito Santo might look at a back three tonight.

Nikola Milenkovic could get his first minutes, with Murillo and Joe Worrall – who should be sold this summer – also getting minutes.

At wing-back, Eric da Silva Moreira looks to be training hard and we fancy him to play on the right, with Ola Aina taking his place on the left.

The Forest engine room

This is one area of the pitch where there is lots of choice right now.

For tonight, we fancy Danilo and Ryan Yates to get the nod but we fancy that it’ll probably be two different teams that play tonight.

Ibrahim Sangare, Nicolas Dominguez, Elliot Anderson and Lewis O’Brien will all hope to feature at some stage too.

Leading the Forest line

Morgan Gibbs-White scored a cheeky little goal in training yesterday and we think he will form part of a front three tonight.

Chris Wood should lead the line through the middle as Taiwo Awoniyi steps up his fitness.

Coming in from the left, we think Callum Hudson-Odoi might get the shirt from the start as Forest strive to find a winning formula in their attack.
