According to Fabrizio Romano, RB Leipzig are confident of securing a loan agreement for Paris Saint-Germain’s Xavi Simons (21). The Bundesliga club believe that they are close to receiving a green light from Simons as they hope to keep the Dutchman at the club for one more season.
Leipzig still face stiff competition from Manchester United and domestic rivals Bayern Munich who are both keen on the PSG player. It had previously been reported that Bayern had agreed personal terms with Simons.
The talented Dutchman has no future in the French capital and has been clear on his desire to secure a move away from the club. However, there is almost no chance that PSG will allow Simons to leave this summer due to a financial agreement with his previous club PSV which would see a significant share of any transfer fee received before January 2025 go to the Dutch side.
