Pep Guardiola has been speaking about new Manchester City signing Savinho – and dropped a verdict fans are going to love.
The club completed the signing of the Brazilian last week to finally give supporters a bit of excitement.
It has been a very quiet summer at the Etihad Stadium, with supporters really hoping for new faces.
Savinho had been one in the pipeline for quite a while. It was reported at the start of the year that Manchester City had reached an agreement for his transfer in the summer.
But last week it was finally made official, and the club are very excited about their latest capture.
He will be sticking around with City for 2024/25 as opposed to going out on loan, and hopefully he’ll be able to enjoy a similar first season to what Jeremy Doku had.

Pep Guardiola brands new Manchester City signing Savinho ‘devastating’

Manchester City will be in action against Celtic in the early hours of Wednesday morning UK time.
The club will then have games against AC Milan and Barcelona.
These games are a chance for players to get in front of Pep and impress him, especially those who are on the fringes, or young players hoping to enjoy a similar pathway to the likes of Oscar Bobb and Rico Lewis.
Supporters are so excited to get a glimpse of £33 million City newbie Savinho though.
And Pep has dropped a verdict on the South American starlet which will only increase the hype.
He said (Hayters TV): “He can play on both sides, left-winger, right-winger, can even play in the middle. But we need more especially on the wings. His one-against-one is devastating.
City may have signed a special talent
This is quite a strong first verdict on Savinho from Pep, and it will only increase the hype around the youngster.
But hopefully, he is able to find his feet quickly and make some good contributions in his first term.
He is still only very young at 20 years old. However, we have seen him shine in La Liga with Girona, and he also has experience of playing the Eredivisie with PSV Eindhoven.
He is surely in good hands with Pep, and obviously he is surrounded by world-class players who are going to give him the best chance of thriving.
